I am delighted to announce I have been taken on as a full time Game Audio Designer for Netspeak Games!

When I started this journey 5 years ago, I didn't dream that I would get to a level where I could quit my job and jump into a salaried role at a game studio.

I would like to say thanks to everyone that has given me encouragement and advice within the Newgrounds realm, and a special shout out to all the friends I've made here. Newgrounds has been like an interactive barometer that I can track my progression through.

It does mean that my presence here will be significantly lower, however I will still be looking to take on the odd freelance job, so hopefully I can still ping some new music out for y'all.

I'm so proud of myself, and it's proof that it doesn't matter how old you are - it's never too late to make a big change and chase your dreams!

I'm delighted to have received my tenth frontpage today. It's a real confidence boost and even though I don't necessarily let Newgrounds sway my creative direction too much, it's nice to know that the lane I've chosen is bringing enjoyment to people.

Getting frontpaged makes such a difference to the number of listens a track gets - it can mean the difference between 100 plays and 3000 plays sometimes!

I'd like to say thanks to all the amazing people I've met in these forums. We're all in this together - we have a dream, a computer and whatever nonsense enters our heads!

I'm really looking forward to 2022. I have some huge things in the pipeline and I hope to share it all with you soon :)

I've enjoyed my favourite couple of days on Newgrounds so far!

I desperately threw together a last minute entry for AIM 2021, inspired by @potterzilla 's amazing Dread artwork. The track turned out better than I could have hoped.

It then got frontpaged (always nice!).

But my absolute favourite development is Potterzilla put together an incredible speedpaint video of their work accompanied by my track. My favourite thing about this is they then play a couple of actual Metroid tunes, and I honestly think they sound pretty close in vibe!

The cherry on the cake would be if either of the two tracks I submitted place in the contest - but in all honesty it feels like I've already won :)

Working with new people is the best thing about Newgrounds. I hope there are more initiatives on here that encourage this sort of thing because it's very wholesome!

My favourite thing about Newgrounds is it motivates me to finish projects. If anyone gets to enjoy them along the way that's a bonus!

I've been so much quieter on here than I intended to be, but life is life!

I mentioned my "Song for Winter Birds" track was going in a video. Well it actually came out in March and I completely forgot to show you so here it is!

I'm currently working on an entry for AIM 2021, so do look out for something tasty!

It's not ideal because I think Spotify is the biggest ripoff for artists since major labels ripped off bands in the sixties. I wonder what the alternative could be? For now though, any follows would be wonderful - it does feel like a necessary evil and there's HEAPS of admin involved in sorting it out so I'm glad it's done.

I'm going to try and put out a piece of news every month and at least two pieces of music on Newgrounds every month as well. It's great being creative and I'm really enjoying creating in 2021 so far.

Finally got this ready for an actual release (even though the game has been out since August last year! Oops)

This will be eventually streaming on Spotify and the like, and six tracks from the release are streaming here on Newgrounds. However there are FIVE BONUS TRACKS ONLY ON BANDCAMP!!

Happy New Year everyone! I'm flushing away the dump that was 2020 and letting the beautiful clean toilet water that is 2021 trickle in!

I have created a Bandcamp account (finally) so I can actually release some music and see if we can monetise stuff that is just sitting there dormant. I really recommend Bandcamp - I always made a nice amount through them in pretty much all my previous bands.
