This is a jam! Love it. The only thing that stops it getting full marks is the 6 seconds of drums at 0.55 - I think don't change the drum voice, stick with what you've been using. I would give the same note for the drums at the end.

Great work 😊

Thanks for the feedback! :)

Mate, give me more of 2 minutes onwards! That section was absolutely perfect and proof you know what you're doing 😎

I like the atmosphere of the riff at the beginning, giving me Dead Cells vibe.
I would try and add another idea to the piece, a different section, rather than the same riff which might get repetitive. Saying that, didn't stop me enjoying the whole listen!

Thanks! I'll get better thanks to people like you!

There's parts of this where I'm half expecting it to say "Building" and "Unit Ready'', Command & Conquer style!

Great discipline to finish something when you're feeling a bit stuck. It really is the best way to move past a block in my opinion - just power through it!

This would be a great jam for when you pause your game!

Did you record these parts live? Great job. That bit at 0.55 seconds is so interesting - it's like almost like a false game over in the middle!

Troisnyx responds:

Aye, the lot was recorded live. Glad you enjoyed it; that chromatic descent was haaard but I'm glad I pulled it off. 💖 Thank you so much ^_^

Love it! I would like you to pepper this with more variety in the hi-hats, similar to how you do with the kick. At 1:30 when this all changes gave it a nice flavour.

Thanks for creating!

Peepers responds:

Thanks for the review! And for giving it a listen!

This has such a great laid back groove! Really pleasing to listen to. If it was me, I would want the flute melodies to cut through a lot more. Maybe you could pair it with some kind of synth doing the same melody? It would be a fuller kick sound as well, but that might be just a preference for me.

Top job!

This is cool, the double time drums are really effective at 1:17 - I wish there was something similar at the 40 second mark because it saps the pace out quite significanly. I kinda hear that fast pace immediately from your intro.

Absolutely love everything else!

Like this, it's suitably frantic and perfect as boss music.

My only note would be the choice of a fast double kick drum for huge chunks. I think the movement and speed of the music over the top would be enough, and would actually be stronger if there was a more standard 4 to the floor beat, with maybe double kick on the last bar of a phrase for added detail. That might just be a personal preference of mine though.

Must add that you can hear how much time has gone into it, and also how good is it to finish projects! Now you can relax until the next crunch!
